Janet is a retired Certified Nurse-Midwife with over 25 years of women's health care. She found Svaroopa Yoga when searching for a way to relieve a pain in her upper back and was hooked after the 1st class. She's had over 600 hours of training at Master Yoga and has been teaching for 3 years. She had a small private practice in MA before moving to CA and joining East Bay Center for alternative medicine. There she offers continuing classes for the general public and will be adding classes for infertility and pregnancy in the near future in conjunction with the Center's Program for Women.

Kathy Biasotti has practiced yoga for over nine years. She has experienced numerous Hatha Yoga styles, studying yoga philosophy and history, as well as other yogic practices including chanting, and meditation. Initially trained and apprenticed under a master yoga teacher in the classical tradition, Kathy has received formal training in Foundations of Svaroopa Yoga at the Mount Madonna Center with Swami Nirmalanda, and has completed 100 hours of Svaroopa Teacher training.

Kriyananda Devi is the founder and director of the Sacramento Yoga Center. Kriyananda Devi has been practicing and teaching for over 30 years, starting her exploration of yoga at age 15. She spent several years in India studying under the guidance of her teacher, Swami Prakashananda Saraswati. She is a graduate of Master Yoga Academy with over 1000 hours of training including special needs for students with physical limitations, is certified with Yoga Alliance, a certified Svaroopa® yoga instructor and an Embodyment® Yoga Therapist.
